Like a few countries like the U.S.A, England, Italy and France, Istanbul has an obelisk, belonged to Tutmoses III The Conqueror which was taken by a Byzantine Emperor from Karnak. It's seen in "Topkapi" between The Blue Mosque and Ayasofya Mosque(Hagia-Sophia Church before the conquest of Istanbul).

I couldn't find the pics taken by myself when i was 12 years old. I have been interested in Ancient Egypt for 7 years.
The word obelisk in Turkish is "dikilitaş", which means "the stone set up vertically". |
