Does anyone know who that is suppose to be? I have not seen that particular work of art before. _________________ Let's go out to Egypt 'cause it's in the plan, Sleep beside the pharaohs in the shifting sand. |

I ask because I thought the mask in the upper left corner of the main forum page has a striking resemblance to the wooden sarcophagus found in KV 63.
When they first entered KV 63 they found pottery remnants which may have belonged to Ankhesenpaaten. I thought both the faces looked similar with the eyes being a little different and the eyebrow on the right being a little bit higher. _________________ Let's go out to Egypt 'cause it's in the plan, Sleep beside the pharaohs in the shifting sand. |

Just a guess, but maybe it's Tutankhamun. That could be why it resembles one of the wooden sarcophagi from KV63 as they're supposed to be of similar date. _________________ -Indeed, I am alive today; tomorrow is in god's hands-

I agree with Daughter_of_Seti it looks like King Tut or Amarna time period.

No way! I thought that was a girl. Well they were half siblings possibly. The sarcophagus in KV63 is from the same time period and was discovered with the hieroglyph for Aten leading some to believe it was from the Amarna period.
King Tut usually has very even features. _________________ Let's go out to Egypt 'cause it's in the plan, Sleep beside the pharaohs in the shifting sand. |

The items found in KV63 were not King Tut though. It is someone in his family perhaps but not him. _________________ Let's go out to Egypt 'cause it's in the plan, Sleep beside the pharaohs in the shifting sand. |

I didn't say that it was Tutankhamun, I just wrote that the tomb is believed to come from Tutankhamun's time, is all Therefore, they may have similar features if they're from the same family, or if their artwork was constructed by the same people. _________________ -Indeed, I am alive today; tomorrow is in god's hands-
