What are other good Ancient Egypt message boards? I can't seem to figure out where they're all hiding, anyone know?

All the ones I know about are dead, with maybe 1 post a month or so.

Try the www.guardians.net one for a topic board, not as easy to use as the phpbb ones.

I'll have one up and running when the new site is ready, so will dish out the url then.

Actually, I don't think the owner of the board would like us talking about "other" message boards. It would be rather rude, don't ya think? But if you send the links privately, that would be all right.

Okay, I can understand that and shan't discuss it. However, I would think that having links in your signature would do just the same thing. I own a riddle forum and other people promote their boards on it all the time, of which I help them do so. I don't think these boards are a 'you can only be a member with me and nobody else' type of deal, and I doubt listing other boards would be detrimental to this one in any way. In fact, if people from this board went to another and then mentioned they came from here, surely the hits and members would go up?

I would be interested to hear the views of this forum owner on the subject.

This is actually better than most "dead" boards.

The community is active and friendly, and there are no lamers around. I can talk about Egyptology and be taken seriously, and there are no arrogant, ignoramus bigots or racists or whatever to ruin the conversation.

It's a tragedy that there are such individuals in the field of Egyptian studies.

I agree the last two postings. This is far the best board I've found since the fall of old AncientSites (the new one's not too good, although it's not their fault) and I'm already promoting this board. Smile

ive never been in an egyptian board before so when i came in here i was pleased, i figured being younger no one would listen or care about what i said but everyone around here is friendly and helpful
