I read the Serpent in the Sky and i really dont agree with what it is saying. it is a bunch of rubbish if you ask me. Anyway i was wondering if anyone else had read it- it is by John Anthony West. _________________ Ashley |

I've never heard of it before. Was it set in Ancient Egypt or modern? _________________ -Akhenaten- |

| I think one of the worst books is Gedge's The Twelfth Transforming. Her other books are wonderful and I expected this one to be even better, for it's about the Amarna period, but I'm disappointed. Never have I seen this clearly how much the author's feelings towards the historical persons she's writing about can affect the novel. It is clear that she doesn't like Akhenaten or his family or anybody else. The only question is that then why does she write about them? Her book about Hatshepsut was really cool and the trilogy about Ahmose is one of my fave books. It can be seen that she enjoyed writing them. With The Twelfth Transforming I never felt this way. |

| I have read the above mentioned book once before and am currently reading it again. It has so many simularities in it that I have within my own life with my father that I am taking note's. She speak's of Hatshepsut as though she know's her very soul. It is uncanny and fulfilling to me to read this book. I have not read the other book's but have glanced at some that look interesting. I will note on the afore mentioned book and bypass it. Thank's for the tip. |

Urgh! I really didn't like The Twelfth Transforming! What's the title of the Hatshepsut one though? I might want to head to the library and look into it... _________________ *Tadukhipa*

I like her book House of Dreams (dunno whether it's the right translation, I've read it in my mother tongue), that was really good, especially her description of characters. _________________ <i>"Sorry, did I say something wrong?
