Hello, my name is Kemeticpoet(well, kind of...). I figured I would introduce myself here. I was invited here by Meritaten(thanks!), if that is important(give her a cookie for pulling in a new member Smile

).

I have been drawn to Egypt all my life. I don't remember when the attraction began, but I was very young. I have been pursuing an Egyptology degree and will hopefully transfer to Johns Hopkins next semester.

As for me personally, I am 22 years old. Writing is my life- I am writing three novels right now("The Jackal," "The Shadow Within," and "Esau I Have Hated") and am also completing a few books of poetry which will be published("Angels With Swords," "Dedicated to the Netjeru," "A Return to Kemet," "Jehovah, God of War," and "Perfume and Handcuffs"). Probably released in that order(in each category, i.e. that order of poetry and novel- at least one book of poetry will be out before the first novel).

I also enjoy movies(my favorite is "Dawn of the Dead") and music(favorite bands include Manowar, Pink Floyd, Iron Maiden, and perhaps... lol... Nile).

I also enjoy RPGs and have been writing one on and off which takes place in the ancient world and will be very historical, as well as tabletop wargames.

Finally, I would like to note that I am a practitioner of the Kemetic faith and worship Hethert(Hathor). I have a wonderful girlfriend who worships Sekhmet(who is, in fact, the first Netjer I ever prayed to).

What is your book "Jehovah, God of War" about? In my past relations and experiences, Jehovah is not a God of War nor stresses violence at all.

Nessa: I've heard somewhere that Jehovah was originally the god of war and thunder, it was only later when he became a more peaceful god.

I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses, and my God has always been a peaceful God. He was only a god of war because he had to be to protect his people and his name, and he will be a god of war soon in the future to protect his name and destroy those ruining the earth, which will fulfil his purpose and sanctify his name.
