I read a novel and a sequel to that novel by an author whose name I can't remember anymore--can anyone help me? This first novel had a name like "A God Before the Gods" or "A God Among the Gods", it was about Akhenaten's reign and how his family turned against him. The second novel was about the Pharaoh that was last in the eighteenth dynasty (who was behind Akhenaten's and Nefertitit's assasination as well).

Browsing at Amazon, I found two books, one is called "A God Against the Gods", the other is "Return to Thebes". The author is called Allen Drury. I hope this is the one you're searching.
