Well technically her son, Ptolemy Caeser XV was the last ruler as she made him her co-regent before Octavian had him killed.

i am doin a report on her too. And i can tell u it is gonna be hard to find something on her early life but here is something i have found. Her father spoiled then to his upmost ability. and each son or daghter had thier own tutor with a servent tending to thier every need. With this attention cleo was able to study art, music, phisolophy, literature, medicine and was able to speak six diffrent languages Aramic, Egyptian, Ethopic,Greek, Hebrew, and Latin.

Add to that Syrian. She could also conerse with Aethiopians, Troglodytes and Arabians without an interpreter. If you want to know more about her early life, 'Cleopatra, from myth to legend' by Edith Flamarion is excellent for this. I have a copy and it covers her entire life.
