I have just finished a book called "The Giza Power Plant" in which the author proposes that the Great Pyramid actually was a power plant harnessing the energy of the earth to make electricity.Does anybody have any views on this theory . I know this sounds like the rantings of a madman to most egyptologists ,but he makes a pretty strong case of it.
And....a couple of years ago some Germans had a robot walking around in the "air-shafts" of the Great Pyramid only to find a sealed door. has anything else come out of this ? Are they venturing to open this door ? All answers are welcome

I don't know about the pyramids being an ancient powerplant but here is info on the Upuaut Project (robot in the air shafts). I believe they did find something behind the sealed door at the end of the shaft...when they drilled through the door and sent a small camera in, much to the astonishment of all involved, it revealed......another sealed door!

I dont think they (the Upuat people) will get any more permits for hole-drilling or robot acrobatics. It seems they had a major falling-out with Zawi Hawass (the Giza Plateau janitor) and the egyptian authorities. Its a shame though .
I remember another incident in which a door would be opened and a secret chamber revealed at the turn of the millenium. This was vastly announced as a spectacular event - they even had Jean-Michel Jarre on the bill. What happened ? N o t h i n g . Not even an excuse for postponing or cancelling the event.
