Here is some of my work. I don't have my scanner hooked up but a took a digital pic so it is not as clear. I recorded this text from the coffin of Ankhefenmut, a 21st dynasty priest from the Temple of Mut, who's mummy is located in the Albany Institute of History and Art near me.

uhm...seeing the writings of both of you I guess I should be more precise in drawing....mines are horrible...I'm the only one who can understand it.....and not always!ahahahahhah Laughing

I do have a problem....I cannot always make exercises, so everytime I take the Gardiner again I am obliged to go one step beyond, with an incredible waste of time!...and I can do nothing, I have to work!.....if there is any secret, please let me know!...

Well- I officially have the worst hieroglyphic handwriting of all of us, but I reckon that my scan-out looks the neatest- lots of ruled lines, and neatly spaced symbols. Oh well- Practice makes better (but never perfect!)

That site is very nice and all, but with respect it doesn't actually translate into hieroglyphs- it just puts English words into a hieroglyphic font. It is a nice tool for finding out what your name could have looked like in the hieroglyphic script, but it isn't much use in translation. Thanks for being considerate though.[/i]
