| Hello everyone! I'm in the planning stages of writing an original story based in Ancient Egypt, during the Greek Dynasty, and I was curious to know if any of the Ptolomies were given the traditional names of pharaohs past. Any information would be extremely helpful! |

Hi Aurelia, welcome and good luck with your story. Here is a website that might be of some help. I don't believe any of them had the traditional 5 names of Pharaoh, so few of them were actually crowned as Pharaoh. Which would entitle them to the traditional 5 names of Pharaoh.

Thanks for the link, Sekhmet. Granted in my research none of them were actually stated to have been given the title Pharaoh, but then again that time period is so sketchy some could have been made Pharaoh while others weren't. ^_^' Still I don't want to call my main character 'Pharaoh' when he really isn't, since he is of the house of Ptolemy. Thanks again! |
