A long time ago someone said that they had a copy of the hieroglyphic text of the Hymn to the Aten. Seeing as it is one of the most famous pieces of Ancient Literature I would have thought it quite easy to find in its original form. Has anyone got a copy that they can scan and post on here for a few of us to have a look at? I am sure that Psusennes would be interested in having a look as well. There doesn't seem to be very much on the net, only English translations. Looking at the hieroglyphic text though would be fantastic. _________________ Thou dost appear beautiful on the horizon of heaven, oh living Amun, he who was the first to live. |

This is a site that reproduces the Hymn in both hieroglyphic and English. It will not copy, so I'm just giving the link.

Hope it works--I have a history of links that don't! |

It works wonderfully Osiris II! Just like all the links you do provide that work.
For those of you interested as Si-Amun is. The first page is the Hymn in English, to get to the Hymn in hieroglyphic click on the Palace Library link, cusor down to the Hymn and see how it looks in hieroglyphic.
Osiris II it is a lovely site thanks to posting it _________________
